Roberto Cavalli Brand

The famous Italian brand Roberto Cavalli (Roberto Cavalli) is easily recognizable thanks to the original features of the style: stunningly beautiful drawings on various materials that imitate animal skins, rhinestones and sparkles, patchwork technique. For over forty years, this brand has been the standard of luxury, splendor and glamor, only briefly letting the Versace brand forward in the 80s of the 20th century.

A bit about the brand creator
Roberto Cavalli (Roberto Cavalli) was born on November 15, 1940 in Florence. He inherited the artistic gift: his father was an avant-garde artist, and his grandfather, Giuseppe Rossi, was a famous impressionist. While still studying at the famous Florentine Academy of Arts, Roberto Cavalli proposed floral patterns for applying ornaments to knitwear, which were then actively used in hosiery, thus taking the first steps in the future profession of costume designer.
Brand history
The official year of the brand’s creation is considered to be 1970: by this time the designer had invented and patented an exclusive method of applying drawings to the skin, as well as unusual collections of clothes in patchwork technique.
Outfits Roberto Cavalli

Roberto Cavalli changed his attitude to genuine leather, which before him was used only in clothes for everyday wear, turning it into a refined, sophisticated, stunningly elegant material.

The growth of the brand’s popularity was greatly facilitated by the invitation to conduct an advertising campaign for the incredibly popular actress of the 60-70s Bridget Bordeaux: tremendous success and huge profits were achieved! The first fashion show in the world famous “Whitehall Pitti Palace” took place in 1972 and was held on “Hurray!”: The audience was struck by the beauty of the extraordinary finish of ordinary materials: leather, denim, knitwear. In the same year, the first Roberto Cavalli brand boutique was opened in Saint-Tropez (France).

In a short time, the brand has become extremely popular among show business stars thanks to the luxury, chic and sexy outfits from Roberto Cavalli. The business partner was the wife of the designer – Eva Dühringer – the owner of numerous titles: “Miss Austria” (1977), “Vice-Miss Universe” (1977), “Miss Europe” (1978).

In the early 80s, Gianni Versace entered the fashion arena, winning the love of the public, but in 1994 Roberto Cavalli created one of his best collections and again achieved success. Coat models decorated with crystals, prints on materials imitating drawings of animal skins, the effect of “aged” skin – all these new items contributed to the growth of the brand’s popularity. In an effort to expand the scope of activities, the designer launches the men’s clothing line, and a little later, at the beginning of the new century, the Just Cavalli line, which is more democratic and youth-oriented.

Today, the empire of Roberto Cavalli is not limited to the manufacture of only male and female clothes: knitwear under the brand name Roberto Cavalli Class, children’s clothing Angels (for girls) and Devils (for boys), Freedom (street clothes), and the Roberto Cavalli Gym sportswear line are produced. as well as shoes, bags, underwear, swimwear, accessories, watches, jewelry, interior items. High quality, great design, responsiveness to fashion trends while maintaining their own style and originality provide Roberto Cavalli’s creations with success and popularity among the richest and most famous people in the world. These include: Madonna, Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Holy Berry, Sting, Shakira, Christina Aguilera, etc.

In 2002, Roberto Cavalli received the title “Best Designer of the Year”, and the brand Cavalli was awarded the title “Best Men’s Brand”.

Roberto Cavalli brand boutiques are open in many countries of the world: in the USA, France, Italy, Great Britain, Mexico, Russia, Ukraine, India, Kuwait, Brazil, etc.
