The world famous brand Gucci (Gucci) recently celebrated its ninetieth anniversary. In the history of this brand, as in Italian cinema, there was everything: happy moments of fame and high points, ups and downs, scandals and investigations, the struggle for inheritance, the betrayal of loved ones and so on. Gucci House was a family business, so conflicts and disagreements were inevitable among temperamental relatives.
The founder of the Gucci brand was Guccio Gucci (1881-1953), who in 1921 opened a workshop in Florence for the production of leather suitcases with money earned in London. He worked there as a simple elevator for 10 years at the Savoy Hotel. It was there, when observing the luggage of the guests, he came up with a happy thought to open his own business in the manufacture of high-quality, prestigious suitcases, and then – bags and moccasins. A bit about the brand creator
Roberto Cavalli (Roberto Cavalli) was born on November 15, 1940 in Florence. He inherited the artistic gift: his father was an avant-garde artist, and his grandfather, Giuseppe Rossi, was a famous impressionist. While still studying at the famous Florentine Academy of Arts, Roberto Cavalli proposed floral patterns for applying ornaments to knitwear, which were then actively used in hosiery, thus taking the first steps in the future profession of costume designer.
